Production & Shipping Associate

DRSA is seeking a dependable, motivated, and detail-oriented Production & Shipping Associate to join our growing team. This is a hands-on position that requires someone who enjoys working with their hands, takes pride in producing quality products, and is comfortable handling a variety of responsibilities throughout the day.
The ideal candidate is a well-rounded team player who can assemble products, perform light electrical wiring, assist with shipping and receiving, maintain a clean and organized workspace, answer phones when needed, and provide excellent customer service to showroom visitors.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Assemble marine lighting products and related components.
  • Perform small electrical wiring, soldering, and basic electrical assembly.
  • Inspect products for quality before packaging.
  • Package orders accurately for shipment.
  • Process incoming and outgoing shipments using UPS, FedEx, USPS, and freight carriers.
  • Receive, inspect, and organize incoming inventory.
  • Maintain accurate inventory and assist with stock organization.
  • Keep the warehouse, production area, and showroom clean, organized, and safe.
  • Answer incoming phone calls professionally and direct calls as needed.
  • Assist walk-in showroom customers with product questions and basic sales support.
  • Help load and unload deliveries.
  • Assist with general shop duties and special projects as assigned.
  • Work efficiently while managing multiple tasks and changing priorities throughout the day.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Previous experience in manufacturing, assembly, warehouse, shipping, or electrical assembly preferred.
  • Experience with basic hand tools and power tools.
  • Ability to perform small electrical wiring and follow assembly instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Comfortable using computers for shipping software and inventory management.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Reliable transportation and excellent attendance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with low-voltage electrical wiring (12V/24V).
  • Experience soldering small electronic components.
  • Familiarity with Shopify, QuickBooks, or shipping software.
  • Marine industry experience is a plus.
