Since 1927, state sponsor of the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway. In association with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, maintains the design contours of the Intracoastal Waterway channel.Participates financially with local governments to improve and develop waterfront parks, boat ramps, and piers, as well as projects to improve navigation and boating safety. Provides information concerning the waterway from the 1940s to the present.
